How much would a $1.2 billion AUM HF founder, who is also the CIO, typically make? About 10 employees, based in the southern US.

$1.2bn x 1.5% = $18m - $10m in opex = $8m for CIO
$1.2bn x 15% x 15% = $27m with CIO getting 80% = $22m for founder
So $30m for the CIO if they’re up 15% and have a real HF L/S product that they can charge HF fees for. Most of the small single managers are really LOs that charge pretty low fees, but you said SM HF.
