How to find HF opportunities

I'm looking to transition to a HF (open to SM and MM) and am wondering what the best resources are for finding opportunities. For context, I've been an associate at a large LO for 3 years and was in IB for 1.5 years previously.

What is the best way to get into the recruiting processes? Head hunters and HR departments commonly reach out on Linkedin and I'm spammed by Mercury Partners just like everyone else, but there are very few jobs posted. Should I be networking again?  Are my sell-side contacts a good resource?

Talk to coverage that you’re tight with personally. Though be weary of those who share connections with your mgrs.

I would start networking again. Market is tight right now and funds are degrossing/axing underperformers. Don’t wait for someone to come to you.
