How to Structure Bonus Compensation as a Senior Analyst at L/S HF
Just as the title says, what is a typical bonus structure moving into a Senior Analyst role at a L/S hedge fund with some responsibility for the PNL. Its a SM fund with $100 - 250mm AUM. There's the head PM/founder, and assistant PM, myself, and a new analyst is starting in a couple months. What are the basics of structuring a bonus? Obviously the head PM has a structure in mind, but I want to know if I'm missing anything before going into negotations.
