In-house legal roles in hedge funds & PE?
Does anyone work at funds where there is an in-house lawyer? Eg REPEs, vulture funds, activists Or even a hybrid role as a financial/legal analyst?
Theoretically capitalizing on less awareness/interest of lawyers in these opportunities (work at a small fund) compared to those with IB backgrounds. However, perhaps this is offset by less jobs?
If so, what areas of law do you think would be most highly valued? Bankruptcy (distressed debt)? Competition law (merger arb)? securities law?
Hey Oligarch92, I swear if I had a silver banana for every lonely thread I posted too I'd be richer than @compbanker ...
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
