Info on Himalaya Capital?
Anyone know stuff on Himalaya Capital? The founder, Li Lu, is a close friend with Charlie Munger and the firm seems to be very secretive. Almost all their employees on LinkedIn say they work at a “Value Investment Firm”. Tons of UCLA Anderson and Columbia Business School aum and only Asian Americans lol. They recently moved to LA to Seattle and have like $20bln AUM or something crazy.
I don't know a ton about the firm itself but if you do a bit of research into who Li Lu is - there is a very good reason why people of Chinese descent wouldn't make it super easy to connect themselves to his firm.
incredibly misinformed, they're in china all the time and frequently attend conferences/management meetings in the area too. they invest in a lot of chinese equities - very hard to do so at that scale without being on the ground for research and other activites
