Comp is actually pretty good. Internal valuation managers at good funds make like $160-$200K and have pretty decent work/life balance. Sadly, there aren't really too many other exit ops. The only real exit is to valuation in financial advisory services practices (Big 4, Duff, Houlihan, etc) and maybe corp dev.

Yeah if you want to do internal valuation at the fund
any idea what comp would look like for that?
Also, would it be a good thing to have experience in, if just for the prestige of the fund? Would valuation experience be helpful elsewhere?

For what level are you seeing comp like that? Early on, or fully mature careers?
About 4 - 5 years of valuation experience,
Is that where you think it tops out, or with more experience will you see higher numbers?
