Is it an upgrade: from Big4 consulting to Hedge fund

I have 1 year exp in consulting (am a recent graduate) and have a second round of interview for a hedge fund. Info: AUM- 1.5 billion USD, junior financial markets analyst, I'll work with infrastructure, renewable resources, telecommunications, mining companies. Offices in NY and London.

Is it an upgrade in career path or stay in Big4?

As much as I agree with you and Big4 doesn't stand a chance against the IBs, PEs, HFs having a steady job is pretty good option and the more of experience accumulated in one company (rather than jumping every 1-2y to different companies) makes the CV stronger in recruiter's vision. I could be wrong, any thoughts?

LinkedIn. I was approached by the HR agency via LinkedIn and they offeres to talk about a position at a HF. I am not that active on LinkedIn and don't post BS posts. TBH it is a pure luck + fully updated LinkedIn profile with a lot of small certificates of Excel, Python learning and I guess I matched in some searches because I had an option "open for new positions" selected.

in the end as much as LinkedIn is sometimes cringy, it does work.
