LF Advice: How to excel at macro fund

I’m starting an internship at a macro hedge fund soon. Really excited to join bc the team has a really broad mandate across FICC and covers both DM and EM.

To be honest I can’t believe that I landed this gig as just a few months ago I was struggling to land offers from low/mid tier s&t banks. Really grateful that I got this offer and want to make the most out of it.

The role involves helping the PM with research and trade ideas. I want to maximise my learning experience across research/trading while contributing to the team.

Any seniors/professionals have any advice? Any advice appreciated.
