Seems like a great place, people really know their stuff.

They’ve been running a campaign at VAL since at least 2022 but hasn’t seen fruit yet
Small team, very sharp guys, deep fundamental approach. People are pleasant and I assume given the AUM per head and calibre of the people they will pay well to retain their 3 analysts. CIO is very strong and they've put up solid to strong returns over the past 5 years.
Wouldn't hold my breath on comp. CIO is not known to be generous if you aren't among the founding team. Recently had an analyst departure as well. Regarding returns I heard it's a mixed bag, some good years, some not so good years, but haven't seen hard numbers. If they are still in the $1-1.5bn AuM ballpark, then they haven't been able to grow meaningfully for a couple years now. They already were around $1bn pre-COVID.
That being said, they seem to get involved in interesting situations and given the small team size it should be a good seat to learn for someone early in their career.
Interest to hear what 'not generous' means? What do you think an analyst there (or similar sized funds) makes in TC?
