Looking for hedge fund pitch mentors (long/short equity)

I am looking for experienced buy-side equity analysts to give me feedback on my stock pitches.

BACKGROUND

MBA in finance from a top-5 school, passed CFA level 2 this summer. Most people say I have high aptitude and inordinate love for finance, the reason I’m still not there is that I recently immigrated from a country where this industry doesn’t exist as we know it here. Getting out of the military (US one) next year and looking to join a hedge fund. I’m too old for investment banking (33, married with 2 kids) and supposedly IBD experience is not critical for HF anyways. So, the plan is to improve research skills on my own in the remaining 6-8 months, with somebody’s occasional guidance, and then to pepper hedge funds with ideas until one of them hires me. (In the interest of full disclosure, although it is irrelevant to the matter at hand, I worked as a boiler-room stockbroker for a year, making 700 cold calls per day, so this last piece is more doable than it may look.)

SERVICE SOUGHT

All I’m asking is that you look at my pitches (6-8 pages tops) 2-3 times per month and give whatever feedback you feel like giving, as I’m perfecting this craft. Amount, depth, structure etc. of said feedback would be totally up to you, as much as your time and interest allow. I have most of the pieces down from business school, CFA and reading (financial modeling, strategic analysis). Just need some guidance in splitting hairs – areas like depth of industry research, risk analysis, right balance in understanding the risks and yet making a recommendation.

BENEFITS TO YOU

1) investment ideas at the almost-finished level – most of them will be small- and micro-cap shorts; 2) potentially, if you’re interested, free Excel/number-crunching/data collection tool; 3) friendship for life ;-)

If interested, please PM me. In any case, thank you for your time reading this. Any useful feedback on this post would be appreciated as well.
