MBA and age question
Hello,
I have a question about recruiting for an HF position out of business school, and age. I'm trying to plan for potential career paths.
Say that I go to an M7 MBA after five years of experience, with the most recent experience being sell-side equity research or investment banking. Does age start to become a concern at this point, if I recruit for an HF position? With five years pre-MBA, I'd be ~28-29 years old upon graduation. Is that a bit old for an "investment analyst" type role at an HF? Or, are post-MBA hires sometimes more senior, like an "associate portfolio manager?"
Thanks.
Hi ApolloEast, don't worry, the WSO Monkey Bot is here.... I'm hoping one of these links will help find your answer:
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
Bump?
No to both questions - 29 is not too old to be an analyst at a HF, and post-MBA hires are not at the PM level (especially without previous buy-side experience)
Thank you.
