Offcycle hedge fund remote internships
Hey guys,
I was wondering if hedge funds (esp ones in distressed/special sits) would offer remote offcycle internships the same way small boutique IBs/search funds do to students? I am a senior at a semi-target and an incoming analyst at a top EB's RX program. Finished my credits all during the last semester and am chilling between now and July start, and wanted to have something going on until then. I have been emailing some funds with my resume/distressed pitches, but have so far gotten no interest. This is odd because with the same funds I am emailing now, a few of them gave me interviews when I was a sophomore recruiting for summer internship (in-person), when my resume/skillset was far less ideal than they are now, but the same firms have said because things are going to be online now they no longer run internships. Was wondering if I could any advice on my situation.
