Pod Shop FT Offers
NY IBD SA currently in the process of applying/interviewing for Point72, Citadel, and Millennium's FT Research Analyst (or in Citadel's case Associate) roles. Did a winternship at one of these three and hopefully should convert to a FT offer. How would you rank the three in terms of desirability to be in right out of undergrad? Is any firm "better" than the other or is it pod dependent?
You should be able to figure this out
Sorry - they don't tell much about the team you get to work with because that's decided after you complete the training program. That's why I was asking here
Still you can figure it out
citadel and MLP regularly chew through 1/3 of their workforce each year, p72 brands themselves as the firm which nurtures talent internally and helps them develop.
Start at P72, when you’re a risk taker maybe go elsewhere
“Did a winternship at one of these three” lmao just say Point72. Point72 has probably the best training program for podshops straight out of undergrad because they’ve been established the longest. CAP and Millennium are up in the air since CAP is newer and Millennium’s “training program” is just sitting on the sell side at UBS for a year.
Bump
None of the above. I think you should throw your hat in the ring for that overnight Wendy’s drive thru position, and only if you get turned down should you even consider your back up route working in finance.
Honestly none. I think 95%+ of 21/22 year olds are not capable of making or understanding the decision to start your career at a pod shop working for an unknown PM.
