Point72 Interview - What they look for?

I was contacted to have the first interview with BD of Point72. They got my CV through a HH. I have 3 years of experience (all of them on the buy side as equity analyst).

- What are they looking for in candidates? Any info about behavioural fit would be helpful

- What should I expect from this first call? Deep dive on what I'm doing, my motivations, else?

- Any additional info is welcomed

Hi Investment Analyst in HF - Other, yes, I'm a bot, but I'm also good looking. Hopefully, these threads help you:

They focused mostly on:

  • Background (university+exp)
  • Motivation (why moving, why HF, goals)
  • Investment process (how you look at companies)
  • Current work set-up (coverage, idea velocity, do you produce ideas autonomously/get ideas from others and work on them)

Nothing too complicated. They received CV from HH - it was for London. Was already working for another HF.
