Private credit funds, distressed debt/credit funds and real estate investment funds

For private credit funds and  Distressed debt/credit funds, are they each classified under private equity, hedge funds or asset management? Or are any of them a totally unrelated form of alternative investment?

How are they classified?

I have a similar question about job titles labelled "real estate finance / real estate investment analyst". What is it classified as?

I have forgotten what's in the CFA material regarding these
