I want to know how can one become a quant after undergraduate? With just a finance degree or economics degree? Do I need a mba ?

As far as I know one needs strong math and coding skills to be a quant
One can't be a quant at HF/Prop shops with non maths or pure finance background.
MBA is a big no to get into quant finance
So it would be best to get CFA or MSF instead ?
