Questionable Hedge Fund Role
Hi,
I recently got contacted about a position at a large hedge fund in NYC for a role in Investor Relations Operations (entry level). I know this almost sounds like "back office of the back office" but I am curious if there is any merit to this position. I am not happy in my current job but also don't want to switch to the first thing that comes along. Does anyone have any idea what type of comp this role might offer or what one could pray for in terms of exit opps? Thanks for your help.
Chris
This sounds like some sort of account executive admin type work.
A step away from janitor.
wow nefarious...do you want to pee on him too while he is down?
Haha, sorry, I am pretty blunt.
A job is a job so take it until you can transition. Just don't go into this thinking it is going to be something amazing.
Oh I don't. But, I am currently employed right now so maybe it's not worth considering. I am trying to balance switching jobs too many times (brings up red flag on resume) with moving towards a front office job in financial services, which I understand this is not but it is at least at a hedge fund.
