How does the career growth look like for a QD in a trading pod? Currently I make around $400k-450k, and I am at 3 yoe in HF. Does the comp keeps increasing linearly? How much can I expect 5 years down the line - say if I join a pod as the senior QD? Can it be around $700k? I am confused if I should move to a QD in central team (which is a safer job than a pod), or continue in a pod and upskill myself (like get into more things like portfolio construction, market impact model etc which also I have seen fall under QD at times). Please help.
