Semis Industry Overview and TSMC Company Deep Dive - Any other Resources?

Two very strong write-ups which are very useful to get up to speed on semis

Trying to get up to speed on the sector. Anyone have any other resources they have used?

It doesn’t get better than the SemiAnalysis and Fabricated Knowledge substacks (linked below)! They are both pricey ($500/yr, $40/month) but the free SemiAnalysis articles are great and I think the Fabricated Knowledge subscription is worth it. There is some great stuff on YouTube as well (both TSMC specific and broader semi.)

I like to read industry research reports/conference papers too.

I second this^^! I learned pretty much everything in the beginning by just Googling the 1000 words I didn’t understand while reading transcripts etc. Keep a section in your notes for definitions (I’m in a student-run fund so we actually turn that into a glossary and throw it into the appendix of our deck which is helpful as well)

Would love to hear what other people think, but I would say pretty seriously? I don’t always trust his opinion on which given company or stock is going to “win” but really admire his technical knowledge.
