Should I take the CFA Level 1 as a college senior to help for HF recruiting?
I'm a current senior who will be starting at a BB/EB this summer. I'm less interested in PE more interested in LS equity (and perhaps other strategies), so I wanted to ask if it would be worth it for me to sign up for the June CFA Level 1 exam. Would taking it help for HF recruiting / is it worth it? Not a business or econ major but have taken core classes in basically every area covered on the Level 1, so it probably wouldn't be THAT much studying (mostly reviewing material I have forgotten).
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks everyone!
Better yet, put "incoming CFA Level I Candidate" and "incoming BB summer analyst" on your LinkedIn. This will help tremendously for a lateral move directly into a top-tier "HF".
Bump. Would appreciate any professional's insight into how the CFA is looked upon and whether it would be worth it.
Yeah why not
Once you are registered for the exam, you can put CFA Level 1 Exam Candidate on your resume and LinkedIn. It’s a difference maker IMO.
