I'm sure many of you saw the article in DealBook yesterday about prominent hedge managers recruiting former S.E.C. officials in at least a "regulatory advisory capacity". I've got to say I find the irony of this happening in the midst of a push by the S.E.C. to lure Wall-Streeters away. (Un?)fortunately if it comes down to a battle of recruiting, I have an inkling as to who might have the financial firepower to come out on top....
