Steps to make a pitch / pitch template

I'm meandering and this is taking way too long because I've never made a pitch. What are the steps / process to making a pitch? I'd like to get this done and not use my entire weekend... maybe that's too ambitious. I know the sector reasonably well so not sure what items I actually need to do. Build a full model? Make diagrams and slides? It's just for a second round interview. Thanks all.

I’d check out some of the top-rated pitches here. This will give you some good direction.

If it’s an undergrad role I’d just create a bare-bones presentation (1-2 slides, basic model, etc.)

If it’s post-IB then I’d create a more in-depth pitch (good model, 4-6 slides, etc.)

Either way, you should hit on some of the bigger points when looking at companies (industry overview, margins, growth opportunities, competitive moat, product offerings, etc.)

It sounds like a financial model, an investment write-up and/or slides are a good idea. There is a tiktoker who is a hedge fund analyst. I think his name on tiktok is hedge fund analyst. I believe he may provide templates and examples for all of these types of materials. Good luck
