I know Attestor is essentially a distressed/ value investor but I've seen them dabble in PE strategies as well (they recently acquired Condor, a Swiss airline).The previous thread on the issue hasn't been too helpful so thought I'd give it another go.

They are pretty much the top tier of distressed investing in Europe - if you can land a seat it’s an amazing one.
Looks like it. Yet flying under the radar for a long time now. They strike me more like a Baupost/ SVP Global type investor, with the flexibility to do almost anything (they recently equitized their position in Condor, the airline). But this I can find online, what I’m hoping to get is some insight from people who’ve dealt with them

Worth noting that quite a few of the seniors left Attestor following Pierre Bour's departure, who set up Fidera, which has subsequently merged with York Capital's European Asset backed distressed team.
That happened in like '18-'19 right? Do you happen to know why?
Trying to find some AuM numbers for Fidera but coming up empty handed (found something like 200m but that seems low given they've been through the pandemic with a rather robust team, would expect north of 1B)
Pierre who was one of 2 guys running the shop left to do his own thing. I believe Fidera £1bn+ and York £1bn+.
Fidera do corporate special sits, pull to pars, new money, litigation finance, liquidations and the old York team do asset heavy deals.
