No idea about Matrix, but do have a friend who has previous done an internship at Scopia. Really good market neutral equity shop. Top tier performance and AUM/head count very high thus more responsibilities per analysts. They also do some credit stuff. Definitely one of the more stable/high performance fund out there.

 

I am prob not the most qualified to comment on their recruiting scheme since I am still in UG and also looking to break in to the space. Don't think they have an actual program for FT or junior SA, but Scopia does have a set sophomore program at Wharton/NYU/prob a few other (very selective). With that being said any time you get to spend 10 weeks at a shop you do have a slim chance of getting a return offer if you excel imo.
