thoughts on Tudor Investment corp?

I recently received an interview offer for a quant-developer-like role on one of their Portfolio Management teams. I'm wondering what the fund's reputation, performance, and compensation are like these days? I couldn't find much recent information about it online...I just know it's an old HF with a decent reputation (44bn aum on its recent form ADV I noticed), but doesn't seem to as talked about much...

Bump. Do people know this firm? Doesnt seem like founder has good lineage (citadel or p72) /is this a good enough stepping stone to big4 MM?

Oh, totally agree. Who would ever want to work for a fund named after an irrelevant historical dynasty and a second-rate watch brand? It's such a shame they don't have a structured training program like P72's academy. Everyone knows that's the only true path to becoming successful in this industry.

And let's not even get started on the founder, Paul Tudor Jones. Just some random Wall Street "legend" who's only worth a measly $8 billion. I mean, come on, could you imagine learning anything valuable from someone like that? It's truly unfortunate that he doesn't have that prestigious Citadel or P72 pedigree.

Honestly, you'd be better off investing your time in a lemonade stand. At least that way you'd be sure to quench your thirst for success, while avoiding the tragedy of being associated with such an obscure and underwhelming fund.

Reputation in the global macro world top notch. It's not a pod shop in terms of leverage / drawdown limits but there are different teams and PMs so your mileage may vary slightly depending on your team.

Had a very rough decade from 2008 - approx 2017/18 ish before pivoting a lot more to quant, which has been pretty successful -- had consistent mid DD returns in the last five ish years.

Culture is very good & PTJ has a reputation on the street as a very friendly & generous person, have a few quant friends who are there & seem happy, like their teams, not nearly as much stress or as cutthroat of a risk management / firing approach as your traditional MMs, though I imagine also not as much chance to rise up the ranks quickly.

Don't know specifics about pay, probably varies team to team, but would imagine it to be good.
