Typical Pod Shop Interview?
What does a typical interview look like for someone who would be moving from a typical sell-side role as an analyst (IB, ER) to a pod? How many rounds, topics focused on, etc?

A typical pod shop interview process generally involves multiple rounds, each designed to assess different aspects of your skills and fit for the role. Here's what you can expect based on the most helpful WSO content:
Round 1 - Behavioral and Fit Questions:
Round 2 - In-Depth Technicals and Stock Pitch:
Round 3 - Case Study:
Round 4 - Final Round and Negotiation:
Key Focus Areas:
This structure may vary slightly depending on the specific pod shop, but the emphasis on stock pitches, technical skills, and case studies is consistent across most firms.

Bump, wondering as well
The expectations for a banker won't be the same as those for an ER analyst. Don't lump them together.
what will be requirements for BB bankers? Deal experience (any preference towards buy/sell side or PE-led / P2P?) / modeling (believe it is not LBO modeling?) interested.
No one cares about your deal experience. If you're being invited to interview as a banker, the fund is looking for someone wirh basic finance training but without any investment biases. Someone the fund can train and coach into their process and investmenr philosophy.
I'd say it matters a lot to show passion for investing. Have some investment ideas ready to discuss, be able to talk about what's going on in markets, etc. That's what makes you stand out.
That’s interesting! Thanks! How would you describe “investment basis”? Also if I am covering industrials, will I only be interviewing industrials teams or also other teams? Heard PMs do not care about coverage, but not sure if BDs at MMs will send your CVs only to PMs in your banking coverage sector, or BDs can send CVs to multiple PMs in multiple sectors?
