Undergrad trying to learn investing

Looking to learn the ropes on how to become a good stock investor. Currently, an undergrad, thinking that learning accounting would be a good start seeing as how much Buffett goes on about its importance.

As someone early on in their education of investing, what are some beginner-friendly books I should look into? Should I be first asking myself whether I want to invest in public v private or is it too early for that?
