Unsure of Next Steps for New Grad Recruiting

I recently graduated from an Ivy with a STEM degree and completed internships in quant research at a well-known credit fund and another top fixed-income shop (on a systematic equities pod). Unfortunately, I did not receive return offers from either place.

My junior internship at the credit fund didn’t convert to a full-time offer because the team I was on blew up, and the firm wasn’t performing well. I decided to pursue an accelerated 1-year master’s program and interned at the fixed-income shop in London. However, due to internal complications, I’ve been told I likely won’t receive an offer there either (final answer expected in January).

I realize this may sound like I’m just making excuses, and perhaps I’m just not good enough, but I’m now looking for full-time roles, and it’s been a real struggle. Banks seem to have full classes, and funds have been hit or miss (mainly miss).

I’m feeling pretty lost and would greatly appreciate any advice on how to approach the job market or navigate this situation.
