$1000 "Trump" Accounts for Babies
It seems the most bipartisan-approved component of the spending bill is the federally-funded investment account for newborns, starting with a $1000 contribution from the government.
Can anyone explain why this is a good idea? Isn't this just more inflationary fiscal spending to artificially pump up the market? What is the value of the $1000 in your account if everyone else also gets $1000?
