401k Match Plan at your firm?
Analyst 1 at EB here who recently started thinking properly about retirement funds and 401k. Learned about my firm's 401k and was a little disappointed at the number (3%) but surprised to hear that places like Evercore and Centerview had no matching which kinda sucks and the number did not seem so bad.
Curious to hear whether my intel on EVR, CVP is wrong and also what the matching is like at your firm. Free money is lit.
e: Apparently evercore does do 401k match - looked through glassdoor and it said otherwise but I guess not.
Jpm has dollar for dollar match up to 5% of ur base salary
Base but not bonus
boutique i work with has 7% or so. run a hf with one of the idiot partners. lol
The bank I'm at is raising it from 6% to 7% match in 2025 dollar for dollar.
6% match
50% employee contribution up to 401k max
Same
so 50% of the max 23k? that's insane.
EVR matching was 3% up to. $3,000 last time I checked
Hsbc does matching up to 10% of base comp
BARC is cheap as fuck. It's 6% match but it vests over your first 4 years, meaning for example if you work 1 year, it's effectively 1.5% match, 2 years = 3%, 3 years = 4.5%. After 4 years it is effectively 6% match. Worst 401k plan I've ever been on, seriously.
