Are Markets Immune to Crises?
Hey Monkeys,
So there's an article I was reading by Aswath Damodaran that basically talked about how markets
have become inured to crises.Unfortunately WSO won't let me post the link as I am too new of a member. But if you want to find the article, it is titled "A Tale of Two Markets: Politics and Investing!"
Any thoughts? Have markets really become so insulated that they are unaffected in the long-term by global political events?
Finally, what would be a breaking point that could buck the trend? For instance, if Trump is able to push through business friendly policies in the U.S. does this mean we will see an amplified "Trump Bump"? Or will it be as Damodaran suggests, more of the same?
