Has anyone had experience in the freight-brokering industry?

Through high-level management or working with them through pe, vc, or ib? I need to get a grasp of the challenges of the industry, price models, liabilities, etc.

anonymousbro can you be a bit more specific? Are you talking about 3PLs? Brokering contracts for hot shots and other forms of transportation? Any particular mode of transportation (i.e. Ship, Air, Land or all of the above)? I may be able to help as I have some experience in logistics through work (F500 O&G Equipment and Services).
