How Are You Getting Defensive?

As equity markets near ATH's, I'm sure many of you already have/will be altering your allocations. I'm curious as to how everyone is going about a more defensive strategy. I recently moved to cash, but am exploring REIT's, energy, gold, etc. Part of me still believes that this bull has more room to run, but valuations are so stretched that I couldn't really get comfortable with my positions. Looking forward to some thoughts and discussion, thanks!
