Interview with my school's Investment Club

Hello,

This is my first post so please don't rip me a new one.

I have a casual "interview", more like a get to know you and why you want to join type deal, with the Investment Club at my university this weekend. I want to stand out, but don't exactly know what ways to do this besides having some pitches ready to go.

What other things can I do to make myself stand out?

The other thing you can do to make yourself stand out is to bond with the people. As you mentioned, it is a casual interview, so it's likely that the interview is based more on fit. Ask questions about their dreams and aspirations, and what their concerns are of the future. Let them speak until you're sure they're done. Remember, this is not only an opportunity for you to join an investment club, but also for you to ask more senior students questions. Their answers could further illuminate your future plans.

brokencircle13 has very good advice.

Don't come across as an over-enthusiastic finance nerd, but make sure they respect your intelligence.
