This Covid Joke, Thank the Media

This Covid thing is one of the bigger medical jokes to come out in the last few years. I am not a doctor, and neither can I claim to know that I have vetted this out fully, but it is generously clear to me that pharma, biotech, hospital, lab operators have benefited tremendously at the expense of many other vitally important industries (retail, gyms, restaurant, airlines, hospitality, I mean I can go on and on).

Doctors' job is to tell you are sick. But the amount of fear mongering this Anthony Fauci dude and his compatriot at the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has perpetuated, is surreal. Just keep on barking. I really wonder if they get a cut from the covid endorsements they make. How to investigate their finances fully? And the media continues to give them air-time until something else can prop up their ratings...Even on this forum, some jokers were trying to emphasize the importance of covid over other diseases...OK MAN, you do you. I have no idea what your pre-existing conditions are, but sure, I believe you when you say that the pain you felt was unparalleled.

One-time hit companies like Moderna have seen their revenues go up tremendously. The disease is so fatal, so fatal, that they're going to be releasing frequent boosters for it. Seems like this market was about $35 billion in terms of total sales, patents expire, IP protection gets waived, market gets filled up with generic drugs, and you see the revenues from these companies disappear. Meanwhile, their drug pipeline looks dry as fuck. Maybe they should focus on more important diseases like cancer, parkinsons, alzeihmers etc.

How accurate is this stat?

To me, frankly, it seems like which covid vaccination you should take is akin to deciding whether you take Advil, Tylenol, ibuprufen for migraines. ,Either way, your pain is going to recede by itself, if you do nothing, but give these companies a temporary boost in sales.

Seems like useless companies have come up thanks to this covid: Zoom; Moderna. Covid has been a great enabler of shit. People get doled out unemployment cheques for doing jack shit, that is what I would call substitution effect trumping income effect. Covid loans being given out, I can deploy that capital better. Mandatory quarantines. Hotels overcharging for shit service. How fantastic in all forms.

Who is deciding here that a death due to this disease trumps others, and so it is important for hospitals to prioritize covid patients? Makes no economic or societal sense at all.

People love showing off their cool masks. That's how seriously everyone takes this disease. Reminds me of those clowns, who would post videos of themselves on social media, doing these ice bucket challenges (and purporting to spread awareness about ALS) while they really wanted a few likes here and there.

Jokes. Jokes. Jokes.

I Am sure when you're about to get buried, they'll slap some surgical or KN95 mask on you as well. Can we please ensure that everyone, who is currently in the graveyard, has a mask on. Would suck if the PPE (property, plant, and equipment) makers see their sales go down. I really don't give a F if you put your mask on, for all I care, you might as well put a donkey mask on, but don't go about imposing your shit on me.

So you mean to tell me that you’re denying the science?…..that keeps on changing? How dare you challenge our medical professionals and institutions that embody integrity and intelligence…lol

I agree with you. This pandemic has exposed so much in our society. Mainly that the people will believe just about anything that gets fed to them via the media. They never stop to ask questions, just follow blindly. Perhaps as a society we’ve always done that, but you’d expect more since information is more accessible than before.

It needs to be said so any sub is fine IMO…these companies out here doubling revenue YoY and people think they’re just gonna stop doing that and be on their way. Boosters will be here forever.
