Top undergrad b-schools. NYU Stern, UMich Ross, MIT Sloan, Berkeley Haas, UVA McIntire.
don't forget john marshall
Gonna have to get those numbers up
I am waiting for someone to comment SMU
SMU
Your GPA and ACT is too low for even the non-Ivy targets. Grind and get them up.
Slightly right, a 32 ACT is low for any ivy, 33 is minimum for a non hooked applicant (if youre a straight white male, even worse if asian)
However a 32 ACT would be fine if he was instate for UVA or UMich
maybe you should focus on how use the word "despite" properly before focusing on college, sport.
hope that helps.
Jay Gatsby, old sport
more like gay jatsby haha nailed it
Thank you for the responses, I am aware that both my gpa and act need improvement. Extracurricular wise I am a three season varsity athletes and am the founder of the investment club at my school.
If you’re a recruited athlete at the school, that’s a game changer. If you’re not, then varsity letters aren’t worth much and starting a club is almost table stakes these days. Definitely think about whether you could play for any of the schools.
You have decent numbers, and definitely have a shot at top schools for IB. Apply to all the ivys and don't be afraid to take risks on the essays. You never know where you might get accepted. Have a list of reach schools and and safety schools, of course, but definitely don't undershoot your potential. A reach good list: Ivys/HYPSW, Uchicago, MIT, Duke, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, UVA, Michigan Ross, Berkeley Haas, CMU Tepper, NYU Stern. Also can consider liberal arts schools like Amherst and Williams. Good luck
Wharton and Stern are the best feeders for finance in my opinion. Wharton has best recruiting options and unlike the other Ivies you can do real finance not econ. Obviously Harvard, Princeton, Yale carry a lot of cachet and going there will still get you into IB, but we hire almost exclusively Wharton undergrads who want to skip IB and go right to the buyside and have had great success with them.
Everyone here seems to imply you should go to finance-focus schools. You don’t have to major in finance to break into IB. As long as you study the guides on your own and kill the networking/interviews you’ll be golden even you are an English major. I’d focus on going to the Ivys first and the the 3rd tier semi targets like UVA and NYU
>the 3rd tier semi targets like UVA and NYU
Are you retarded?
Are you menstruating?
McIntire and Stern place better than some Ivies my guy. They're full on targets
Who? You must of have gone to one of those.... didn’t realize I was pinching a nerve. You little bitches are so sensitive.
ooo hello internet tough guy ;)
sorry about the size of your axelrod. rough hand to be dealt.
I've heard Kelley School of Business at Indiana University has a good finance program with a lot of supporting IB/Consulting Clubs that can gear you towards interviews, modeling, creating decks, etc. (For Non-Ivy League)
