1 year enough in IB?
Previously spent a year in CB in CAL and now about 1 year into IBD and am tired of this. Is 1 year enough after spending just 1 in CB?

You could find other jobs, however the year mark is when you start being ramped up and can get more things done, have slightly better hours, etc. If I were you I would stay at least an additional 6 months just to get some more deal exp
Thanks for that, I am thinking of Corp. Dev or really anything with a better W/L bal. so hopefully the experience will be enough - don’t think i can do a full 2 years forsure
Agreed also you want to make sure you are not screwing yourself out of a bonus if you are half way through a cycle.
If you're any good, the one year mark is not followed by better hours. It's usually followed by more hours since ppl will want to staff you more since you actually know wtf you're doing now.
Yeah fair, however you can also kinda push back on marketing saying that you already have 3 deals on, so can’t take anything on anymore (even if for any particular week it’s not true)
also tbh I don’t know about you but at my firm it seems like everyone is working quite long, think if you don’t have direct staffings you would just have marketing work from staffers instead
Yeah, what im seeing y2 Analysts doing now - mostly just tryna do my time and get out typa attitude. Just hoping 1 year doesn’t look too bad on the resume
