Friends at JPM didn't get returns across divisions. MS is expected though they are known for this. GS have offers come out at all? havent seen any
At JPM- Offers are out, unfortunately the Brits were inferior. Not their fault, some of these lads this was their first professional experience.
Going forward, it’s not just knowing how valuation and DCF works conceptually but how to model it on Excel and design a creative slide- this is your Job as an Analyst.
If you have Roths or other middle Market offer and a BB, and you genuinely know you can’t ramp up. Please take Roths to be safe
at my firm this wasn't as straightforward
There were some really solid brits but desks decided to take Europeans who had 2-3 more internships under their belt + Bocconi finance degrees to be safe and keep things smooth
Not to mention the cliques
This is tough as well. I struggled in my Analyst days due to language barrier. I find it unprofessional to communicate in local language on the desk(not work specific)

What are you referring to as the local language (I assume in this case, you mean English? given this is EMEA)
Think they mean the Europeans would speak in French / German / Italian even while working
