2027 SA Application's Due In October???????

Two months ago, everyone in my class heard that applications would open on January 1st, with some Canadian banks opening earlier (not at a Canadian school or applying to bum ass Canadian banks btw). But now every analyst I talk to says it's being pushed up to mid-October if not earlier? How true is this? Are targets already getting interviews? Last year, kids in the IBC at Texas got interviews in November, and we (not at UT btw) were freaking out thinking things would open for us this November, but now we are praying that we at least have until then to prepare for the first round.

Heard the October due date from MS, Lincoln International, and William Blair. On the flip side, Jefferies, KeyBanc, and a few others (I forgot who) said they are still set for Jan 1st, but if one moves, the others will likely follow suit. I could be getting fed the October date through Diversity and Women in Banking-type events, but it sounded more like it was general apps.

The Texas stuff is also true, and I don't even want to know what other schools have early first rounds like that.
