yes - the industry surprises people from time to time
I expect the firms that "benchmark" against GS will do so. Otherwise the talent conversation just goes right back to everybody's first choice being GS...
Or they will all not raise again and say “If you behave like that you simply end up with mercenaries. We pay at the end of the year for performance.”
As much as I’d like to think so, highly doubt JPM will follow with a second bump (cheap). Not at MS but considering how long it took their first bump to occur it might have happened too recently for a second bump to follow this quickly at the very lesst
