A Prayer for Investment Bankers

Our Father, who dwellest beyond the noise of nations,
Whose wisdom orders the seasons and the scales of worth,
Hallowed be Thy Name in boardroom and in heart.

Thy kingdom come through works of justice and mercy;
Thy will be done in the markets and the minds of men,
As it is done in the quiet order of the heavens.

Grant us this day the clarity to labor not for greed but for good,
The patience to steward, not to squander,
The courage to build where others break.

Forgive us when we measure gain without grace,
When we prize profit over people,
When we forget that every number names a soul.

Lead us not into the shadow of pride,
Nor into the illusion that wealth is salvation,
But deliver us into humility, wisdom, and peace.

For Thine is the balance eternal,
The treasure incorruptible,
The power and the glory,
Now and forevermore.
