Unless it’s something related to theft (ie. “moral offense”) you’re probably fine. Misdemeanors aren’t THAT big a deal. I would not disclose to HR. And if your court date is in a month, it’s not on your record. In fact, it won’t be on your record until you are convicted. But it might come up as a pending case, so HR might ask you about it. Try to spin it, or deny. HR might even just forget about it.

 

It shouldn't affect your current job at all, as long as you're careful to not screw up any of the follow-up (i.e. if you get probation, don't miss any meetings and have the cops show up at your office . . saw that happen once).

For future positions you'll probably want to disclose it on job apps but nobody's going to care. Isn't every speeding ticket a misdemeanor?
