Advice Needed on Job Offer

Probably going to get a lot of shit for this, but thought I would give it a try...

-Non-target (2011 grad) -3.5 GPA -Working big 4 audit in NYC (60k) for 1+ year -hate audit and haven't even started studying for CPA, only job offer I had after college -ultimate goal is to get into S&T

I recentley received an offer to work in MO at a lower-tier BB (70k + 7-12k bonus), in a P&L type roll for one of the trading desks. During the interview, I was told that a few employees over the years in this position have transferred into S&T after 12-18 months. After years of reading this website, I've always thought MO/BO is the kiss of death. Is this transition even possible? In the end, should I stay big 4 or take a shot and try to network and get S&T FO through this gig?

If your goal is S&T then definitely go with the MO gig. Its at least more related and you will learn some transferable skills compared to Audit.

Question for you, how did you get the role coming from Big 4?

chances of MO/BO --->FO depends on the bank. for instance, i know it's really hard to do at a place like gs.
