Resume collection farm like Selby Jennings. All they really want to know is your current firm and comp. Echoing the point that their operation is situated outside of the US. Further, I have received calls from them at the oddest hours (~3/4/5 am). They are also not shy in spam calling as well … This to me demonstrates a lack of IQ/EQ and not cognizant of time zones. Best to stay away.

They are absolutely not worth your time. They pretend to be a global recruitment firm but they're just a bunch of conmen working in call center in Kosovo. They have a universally negative reputation across the Street for being unprofessional and deceptive. Many banks, hedge funds, and asset managers blanket refuse to work with them.

Please stay away from them and also Selby Jennings. So many horrible, terrible and bad recruiters out there who would waste your time, get your resume and never get you any role but what they will do is always telling you they have so many roles out there they can help share your resume with. The problem is that you do not know whether it is real or they are bluffing to get your resume.

Specifically Alexander Chapman people - I just got a call from them (from an unknown caller ID) asking me if I would like to talk about a private equity opportunity since my profile indicates I am an FIG team...I am not on an FIG team and I am not currently working for a buy-side role - that was what I told the man on the phone.

I asked him whether we has my resume on file and if he does, he would know where I am working. He said something that is very funny "I do not have your resume on file, but upon looking at OUR resume, your name came up under FIG team. I probably call the wrong person." I said "yes you do and no, you made this call on purpose. I wish you well".

Be careful with these no names, ratchet recruiters. Stick with those are quite good at doing their candidate sourcing job such as SG Partners, CPI, Oxbridge, etc.

Please stay far away from them and Selby Jennings. A bunch of scammers. They never have mandates. They just have "bait" jobs to get you to hop on a call and disclose your info. Basically farming for data. They always start the calls first with where else are you interviewing and what is your comp? They do that so they can send resumes to the place you're interviewing at, basically increasing competition for you. Very scummy organizations. Definitely is used for some secret money laundering operations. The only thing they're good at is recruiting decent looking girls to bait dudes into giving their info away.

I interviewed with a BB which SJ and AC said they have mandates with. The HR of that BB said she has never spoken to any of these HH people. Stay far away.

Yup, they are brutal and should be avoided

A brief, but recent datapoint if helpful:

One of their 'recruiters' pinged me on open PE roles. I said I was open to connecting over next few days / asked they send a few times that work for them

Said recruiter responds with "Great - works, I will give you a call. Send your number please" (clearly a bottom bucket response. jcf, I asked for a time that works - very confusing!)

Gave them my cell # and they then asked for my resume ahead of call (call still not scheduled on their end at this point - bottom bucket!).

I respond by telling them I don't provide a res until post convo given circumstances of how our convo started (sending res to someone who contacted you over LI or via email ahead of talking to them = very weird!). Said recruiter then ghosted me lol.

Punchline is they are very unprofessional and sketchy! Bottom bucket!
