Amazon / One Medical: $3.9 billion

Interested in the logistics of the above transaction and how tele health fits into teams in IB. Goldman advised Amazon with MS advising One Medical. How would this work with deal teams, Goldman’s link to Amazon is through their TMT team, but healthcare could be in a better position to advise on this transaction and will want the fees for it. Would TMT pass this onto healthcare and lose all fees, or maybe work on it together and split the fees? Same with MS, would their healthcare or TMT advise on this

Any insights into how all this works would be greatly appreciated

~6.5x sales, negative (downward-trending EBITDA. This might be the worst HC acquisition of the decade lmao. No tailwinds.

Lol they did acquire Iora Health at some point (One Medical) and it ended up being a large chunk of their revenue. One Medical itself is not that unique vs. other concierge-ish type of care, Iora Health was a very interesting standalone company for elderly care (very interesting approach to value based care, should be easy to find details online if anyone's interested in learning more).
