bump
just one person hired? lol, there must be more of you lucky bastards out there
BB SA in NY: 65,000 base pro-rated for 10 weeks 1,500 relocation bonus
what bank gives 70 base? most BBs give 60 or 65 base...
boutique?
70 prorated base for sa? you suck im "only" getting 60 prorated
funny cuz i woulda worked for rent + food
I might be wrong, but I think ib_analysts is working in Toronto. 70 (Cdn) base is common for Bay Street.
65-70K base is pretty diesel. Not even a year or 2 ago that was more like 55-60K, it popped 10K in this market...
70 base / 10 signing / 10 stock options
I think you misunderstood your HR contact. Its cock options, not stock options. Its the right but not the obligation(yeah right) to receive anal penetration by atleast 10 cocks of a pre-determined length at a pre-determined date.
Its pretty standard for analysts of your caliber and you'd be well advised to exercise those options anytime an MD/VP/Assoc feels the need to blow of some steam.
Thats pretty sick, depending on the bank, by the time the options are vested it could be worth A LOT more than 10
Oh - I guess that's what she meant when she said they had a variable vesting period.
Damn, if it weren't for the wacky currency rate...here is mine:
2009 SA, £36,000 pro rata, £1,000 relocation, 10 weeks
60k base w/ 10k signing at NY BB
I know mba;s at a few bb;s are still at 95k
60+10
Premium pay is ~$14 an hour (half pay) for every hour over 40.
Those canucks pay are definitely better off huh, higher base (leaving bonus component out) and a noticeably lower cost of living in Toronto compared to New York.
Even the hours are probably lower in Toronto given the limited deal flow.
In any case, any serious projections for year end bonus this year? 20%-30% of base?
There is very little cost of living difference with the CAD where it is these days plus the fact Cdns pay a lot more tax on basic goods (13% value added tax on most everyday items).
