Analyst Yr1 vs Y2
Do hours/workload get better in year 2 of being an analyst? Need some light at the end of the tunnel as I have been working at an EB with some wild hours.

Career Resources
Depends on firm. Easiest way to find out is looking at the 2nd years in your group and seeing how much they’re working on average relative to your class on average. Often times if you’re staffed as the solo analyst on deals without a first year under you, your lifestyle isn’t going to change as you’re still going to be sending dial-ins, making every menial change to materials, etc.
Your bank staffs 2 analysts on stuff?
I know of several banks that do
EBs? I can see them because they don’t have an m&a team but bbs?
GS TMT, MS M&A, & EVC M&A Tech double staff 1st years for first couple of months to get them ramped up
Oh wow I wish my firm did that. First few months were brutal and I only got 1 bake off double staffed
100% easier. You find ways to doge the staffer more often.
