annual underwriting $value & spreads

I'm trying to pull some numbers for the dollar value of annual debt underwriting vs equity underwriting > 2003 in the US. I'm also trying to find the average gross spread on the underwriting.

Where would I look for this kind of data? Google is not being very useful; clearly I'd need something more specific.

Dealogic and Bloomberg come to mind. Debt spreads will be a pain in the ass, though. You're going to want to swap them all to 3mL (so they're standardized), meaning you'll have to pull the swaps data for each date going back to 2003 (and hopefully you can just run a vlookup that matches the bond term to the right/closest tenor on the swapsheet). Or you can just leave the spreads against their original benchmarks.

Also, private offerings may not have listed spreads and you can't really lump 2yr issues in with 10yr issues and get an average spread...gotta make sure it's apples-to-apples.
