Any Advice Appreciated

I am a freshman at a community college, but I plan to transfer to the University of Minnesota as a junior, which is considered a semi-target school. I've had a great opportunity to build a strong connection with a vice president at a middle-market firm, and this connection has helped me out several times. I applied for a summer analyst position for 2026, knowing they were primarily seeking juniors and seniors. However, my application was pushed through thanks to my connection, and I was given the chance to complete a HireVue interview. I received a rejection letter, but they mentioned that they liked my story and encouraged me to reapply for future opportunities. I appreciate that someone provided me with this opportunity instead of being rejected without any feedback. I'm currently preparing to take my SIE exam. I would appreciate any advice on jobs or programs that could help strengthen my resume as I aim for a summer analyst internship in 2027. I am currently residing in MN.
