Any cold email volume hacks

Hey everyone, I've been networking really aggressively, but I also see people posting crazy things, like they're sending 1,000 cold emails a week.

I could do that, but it usually takes me at least 1 minute per email (not including finding the person I want to email), so that would be around 1,000 minutes for me.

I was wondering if you guys use any sort of automation tools and if you guys have seen any of those hit spam filters. I've used things like Mail Meteor, GMass, and other tools, but I think I've seen my response rates tank (sometimes to 0).

Plz don't self-promote some random app you vibecoded. I think I've gotten pretty good at sending emails and getting good response rates, but I'd love to see if there's a faster way to do so.

Current setup: google sheet (tracking) --> apollo + others to source emails --> normal gmail sent and manual follow ups

if you're sending 1K cold emails a week, that totally overkill and will probably hurt your chances. I personally spent like 5 min per email and sent out ~10 a day.

You go to USC so find USC alum, then find similarities like hometown, high school, sport, etc.

IMO, I would rather send 10 emails to connections than 100 cold emails. Cold emails don’t land and even if they do, it’s a tough conversation to hold as they owe you nothing.

not everyone has connections

I landed a SA’27 at a MM in NYC from a non target. Everyone has connections of some sort, just have to be creative about them.

I’m not saying it’s impossible from a non target. If you’re coming from a school with ~50 alumni in banking and 5 very very far personal connections, at some point you need to send cold emails.
